Volunteers.
Have you thought who got you started in sport ? A relative, a friend, a teacher ? You probably didn't pay most of them , yet they gave you something that could last a lifetime.I have just been to the ESAA Cross Country event .This well organised event leads to some talented runners representing G.B. next week; all kit provided.No fat salaries for the organisers as they are all volunteers.Many will be teachers or ex teachers , or maybe ex athletes.When the time comes and an opportunity comes don't forget how you started out - put a bit back sometime and the next generation will thank you (if someone reminds them ?)
